From 1940, the G7107 cargo truck, a 1.5-ton four-wheel-drive vehicle, served the U.S. Army during World War II, with over 160,000 units deployed. Powered by a front-mounted 3.9-liter inline six-cylinder gasoline engine, it produced 83 horsepower and featured a four-speed transmission and four-wheel drive. The ladder-frame chassis had leaf spring suspension at the front and rear. This chassis was also used in panel van-type vehicles, serving in the U.S. Army's communication units.
